Team DeJong visited Thunderlake Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas for the two day Midwest Champions Series Race. Drivers Matt, Michael and Caymen participated with some favorable results.

Michael and Caymen raced the JR Amatuer class with drivers ranging in age from 6 to 10 years old. This class was racing for money along with a trophy. Needless to say it was a wee bit hectic with all the parents concerned about the money. With our team throwing that aside and working on just getting competetive laps in, we had some pretty good results. Caymen finished 3rd and was coming hard, but lap traffic and 7 restarts ended the race early. Michael was leading both heat races when had motor trouble, and had to start from the tail of the B main. Michael won the B main, but was not allowed to move up into the A.

The second day Caymen was on fire, smokin fast. He ended up 3rd again in the main but was passing for the lead when yellow come out and they finished the race under yellow.

Matt raced on Saturday just finishing in the money with an 8th, 9th and 10th.
